Spring Break Court held in Panama City Beach

The first session of Spring Break Court was held Thursday at the Majestic Condominiums Conference Center, Panama City Beach.

Several Dozen defendants appeared. Most accepting the diversion program, agreeing to complete an online test, perform 8 hours of community service for a non-profit organization back home and paying a $200 fine – however, if they break the law again, it’s considered a breach of the contract.

Staff from the States Attorneys Office and Bay District Court set up office in the condo complex. They were assembled in a mini-theatre and explained the procedures. Then, a few at a time, they were escorted to the “jurdgement-room” where the spring breakers completes documents, allowing them time to complete the work hours in Bay County or their home town.
